Subject: HIV Positive Social and Support group for gay males

Description: We are an HIV positive social and support group that currently operates out of the Iowa/Illinois Quad City area (Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, Moline etc...) with the goal of getting the HIV Poz community active with each other. The emphasis is on creating events, fund raisers to have more events, and supporting each other in a positive learning and fun environment. The hopes are to eventually establish a non profit status to establish an HIV positive commune so that there is less dependance on the local support agencies, with funding and management controlled by the group for the group. This will reduce overhead costs and allow members to have more say in their personal care and the maintenance of the group.
